CELEBRITY CRUISE LINE - IN GENERAL
According to the Frommer’s travel guide, Caribbean Cruises & Ports of Call 2001, Celebrity is one of the best cruise lines currently operating. Frommer’s states that Celebrity “offers the best of two worlds: if you like elegance without stuffiness, fun without bad taste and pampering without high price, Celebrity is king.” Celebrity has the most elegant cruise ships in the industry and they offer a “refined experience” that is also fun and active.
Frommer’s lists the following pros and cons regarding Celebrity:
Pros Spectacular spas and gyms. Beautiful and well stocked, the spa and gym on the Century are the best at sea today. Fabulous food. High-rated cuisine is tops in the mainstream category. Innovative everything. Celebrity’s entertainment, art, cigar bars, service spas, and cuisine are some of the most innovative in the industry.
Cons Sort-of-private verandas. Most of the huge Sky Suite verandas on the Century are exposed on the public decks above (keep those robes on!). No email access for passengers. (The Century should have an internet cafe set up by the time we set sail, so all of you who can’t wait will be able to check those sports scores and emails!)
